Phuket Day 1

My parents flew in from Japan the previous day, so we met up with them.

Both of my parents are now retired and it's really good to see them enjoy the retired life.

We drove a little bit to Patong Beach. First stop: Lunch at local restaurant.

Everything was delicious, but since Phuket is such a tourist-filled place, everything is SO marked up. Compared to Bangkok, I felt a little ripped off.

Anyways, after lunch, we walked to the beach.

The beach is BEAUTIFUL and full of tourists. Mainly European folks wearing bikinis and speedos. 

And I decided to try parasailing for the first time!!

You go up with an instructor. Notice, he's not strapped with anything?

I guess those instructors are called "monkey man". Nuff said.

It was such an awesome experience.

It only lasts 10 mins and costs about $40, but to me, it was well worth it.

It was so great that everyone did it after I did. Including my parents!
