Phuket to Bangkok

The next morning, I woke up early to take a walk to the beach from the hotel.

The water felt so warm and clean. 

I didn't jum in or anything, but it felt good to just sit down and stare at the ocean.

We said bye to my parents who would be staying in Phuket for a couple of more days,

Aiko and I took off to Bangkok. A short flight later, we are back in civilization!

The new subway runs from the airport to the city now. It was like 50 cents each way.

We went to as much into the city as we could on the subway, and then took the cab to the hotel.

The traffic in Bangkok is harrendous. Worse than LA, I must say.

But the cab is DIRT CHEAP. We rode about 40 mins but the fare was like 3 dollars. WTF.

We stayed in Sofitel in Silom. Since the hotel is also reasonable in Bangkok in general, we decided to stay in a luxury hotel and to make it more special, we booked the rooms that allow us to use the hotel lounge!
